GRM Farm: Cultivating Hope and Opportunity.

GRM Farm was established in 2023 when GrassRoots Ministry (GRM) acquired land in Gamba Village, Buikwe District. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly half of Uganda’s population faced severe hunger, prompting us to take action. With a renewed vision and mission, GRM Farm was founded to combat food insecurity, improve nutrition, and create sustainable employment opportunities for rural households.

Agriculture is the backbone of Uganda’s economy, with over 70% of the population relying on it for their livelihoods. Yet, 80% of these are smallholder farmers, who remain among the country’s poorest, as reported by the National Planning Authority. At GRM Farm, we are committed to changing this narrative by empowering farmers and fostering agricultural innovation.

Our Objectives

  • Empower smallholder farmers by promoting modern, sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Inspire youth engagement in agriculture to secure the future of farming.
  • Enhance community nutrition through the production of healthy, high-quality crops and livestock.
  • Drive economic growth by creating jobs and improving food security in rural areas.

Through these efforts, GRM Farm is not just doing farming—we’re cultivating a brighter future for Uganda.
