Nourishing Hope

Project Overview:

Nourishing Hope is a rural meals project aimed at providing nutritious food and support to orphaned, abandoned, and neglected children living in rural communities of Gamba Village. The project focuses on addressing food insecurity, promoting health and well-being, and empowering these vulnerable children to reach their full potential.

GRM works with the local chairperson (LC 1) local leadership to identify these children within the communities we serve.

Nourishing Hope Components:

• Meal provision: Wholesome meals prepared using locally sourced ingredients, served one meal a day
• Kitchen gardens: Establishing model gardens at GRM to grow fresh produce and promote self-sufficiency
• Nutrition education: Workshops and training sessions for families and children on healthy eating habits and meal preparation
• Social support: Regular gatherings and activities to foster a sense of belonging and community
• Capacity building: Training local volunteers and staff to manage and sustain the project
